About Us

VetnCare was founded in 2012 with a simple yet powerful vision : to create a community of veterinary hospitals that deliver next-level care, next-door. What started as a passion for helping pets has grown into a thriving network of 13 pet hospitals across Northern California.

Each hospital is led by a dedicated Hospital Manager and Clinical Director , ensuring elevated, compassionate care at every location.

With an average of two full-time veterinarians per hospital, our teams focus on building lasting relationships with pets and pet parents. Meanwhile, our centralized support teamincluding operations, HR, finance, IT, and marketingensures our hospitals run smoothly, so our clinical teams can focus on what they do best : providing outstanding veterinary care.

About the Opportunity

As VetnCare continues to grow, we're looking for multiple Hospital Managers to lead operations at various hospital locations. This is the most senior non-DVM leadership role within the hospital, ideal for experienced and dynamic leaders who thrive in purpose-driven environments. You'll partner with Clinical Directors and the broader support team to lead a high-performing hospital that delivers exceptional care, client service, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Culture

  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
  • Support a positive work environment aligned with our values and mission.
  • Partner with the Clinical Director and regional teams to guide hospital strategy.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Manage hospital performance metrics, including revenue, cost controls, and labor efficiency.
  • Oversee budgets, inventory, and vendor relationships.
  • Drive workflow improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

    • Staffing & Team Development

  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, and scheduling across all hospital departments.
  • Lead performance management, training, and development initiatives for staff.
  • Foster an engaged, motivated, and high-performing team.

    • Client & Patient Experience

  • Ensure exceptional client service across all touchpoints.
  • Identify and implement strategies to enhance the client journey.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for pets, clients, and staff.

    • Strategic Growth

  • Collaborate on marketing and community engagement efforts.
  • Analyze KPIs and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Implement systems and technologies that enhance operational efficiency.
