Position Summary

As a member of our Women's Services unit, you will thrive in a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. This 6-bed unit ensures that patients receive optimal medical attention and support. You will make a significant impact by utilizing your specialized care interventions and serving as a patient-care innovator, shaping exceptional patient journeys every day.

As an RN, you will demonstrate professional development and clinical competency while utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Performing plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
  • Documenting patient care provided.
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assisting patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborating across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and psychosocial support.
  • Evaluating learning needs of patients and families, providing education tailored to age, culture, and circumstances.
  • Advocating for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
  • Minimum Qualifications

    Education :

  • Associate's degree in nursing required
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • Certifications :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation, Basic Fetal Monitoring, and STABLE required within 6 months of hire.
  • ACLS required within 12 months of hire.
  • License :

  • Current RN license in the state of Kentucky.
