AI / ML Technical Support Engineer

Overview

i3 is seeking an AI / ML Technical Support Engineer to support an Army contract. You will be an integral part of our dynamic team, providing technical assistance and operational support to AI / ML researchers and engineers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our AI development environment, with an emphasis on our PyTorch framework. This position is expected to be performed onsite in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for the AI / ML development environment, with a deep understanding of PyTorch.
• Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of AI / ML development tools and platforms, including those leveraging Ollama, StarCoder, and Cody AI.
• Collaborate with AI / ML engineers to understand their needs and provide timely solutions to technical challenges.
• Develop and maintain documentation for common issues, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to software assurance efforts by utilizing tools such as Fortify or SwA (Software Assurance Tool) to scan code and identify potential vulnerabilities or quality issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows and tooling.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in AI / ML technologies and related support tools.
• Configuration management and system administration for the systems and resources needed to implement new solutions.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical topics to a diverse audience.
• Analytical troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Maintain DoD 8570.01-M compliant practices (e.g., Security+).
