Job Description

We are a solo family law firm in downtown Columbia looking for an experienced family law or litigation paralegal. We value our employees and offer opportunities for growth. You must be organized, pay attention to detail, and be willing to learn new skills and technology. If you’re interested in advancing your paralegal career with opportunities for growth and you are a self-starter who doesn’t need micromanagement, you are our perfect candidate.

Compensation :

$50,000 - $65,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

Manage all aspects of assigned cases, from start to finish
Draft discovery, pleadings, settlement agreements, correspondence, affidavits, financial declarations, and other legal documents
Prepare for hearings and trials, organize exhibits, file motions, coordinate witnesses
Coordinate activities with court personnel, court reporters, and process servers

Qualifications :

Minimum of 3 years of experience as family law or litigation paralegal

Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience with Clio is a plus

Ability to work in (what can be) a fast-paced environment

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Be a self-starter and exhibit a willingness to proactively manage your assigned cases
