Job Title : CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Location : Columbia, SC

Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (06 : 00 – 19 : 30), float as needed

Unit : CVOR (ART), patient ratio 1 : 1

Facility : Acute Care Hospital

Charting System : Any

Key Notes :

  • Patient age group : Adults
  • Interdisciplinary support : IV Teams, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Unit Secretary
  • Daily census : ~28 patients; 10 rooms

    • Job Overview :

    Provide perioperative cardiovascular nursing care in a high-acuity CVOR unit. The RN will assist with cardiac surgeries, monitor patients intraoperatively, manage lines and devices, and collaborate with the surgical and multidisciplinary team.

    Responsibilities :

  • Scrub or circulate during cardiovascular surgeries : CABG, MAZE, TAVR, valve replacements, aortic aneurysm repair, LVAD / RVAD insertion, IABP management
  • Provide 1 : 1 patient monitoring and care throughout surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team to ensure patient safety
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow hospital policies

    • Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience; CVOR experience
  • BLS and ACLS required
  • Ability to work days, weekends, and float within scope if needed
  • Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and communication skills
