Data Engineer – Cell & Gene Therapy Domain

  • Design and build robust, scalable data pipelines using Python Airflow , and dbt to process and manage large volumes of data efficiently.
  • Cloud-Based Architecture

Develop and maintain cloud-native data solutions on platforms such as AWS and Snowflake , ensuring security and scalability.

  • Build and support interactive dashboards and data products using tools like Tableau or ThoughtSpot
  • Workflow Automation

    • Implement workflow orchestration using Airflow or similar tools to automate data processing and analytics workflows.

  • Data Product Development

    • Translate raw data into usable data products that support business insights, machine learning, or reporting needs in the therapy domain.

  • CI / CD for Data Projects

    • Set up and manage CI / CD pipelines to enable continuous integration and deployment of data services and analytics tools.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with business stakeholders and scientists to gather requirements , clarify needs, and propose optimal data-driven solutions.

    Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in building and deploying data pipelines , especially in life sciences or biotech environments.
  • Extensive experience with AWS and Snowflake for cloud data warehousing, storage, and computing.
  • Programming Skills

    • Proficiency in Python for data processing and workflow automation.

  • Workflow Orchestration

    • Solid understanding of Apache Airflow or equivalent tools for orchestrating ETL processes.

  • Data Modeling & Transformation

    • Experience with dbt (data build tool) for modeling and transforming structured data.

  • Expertise in Tableau and / or ThoughtSpot for developing reports and dashboards.
  • Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders, understand requirements, and translate them into actionable technical plans.

  • Domain Knowledge

    • Familiarity with Cell and Gene Therapy , biotech, or pharmaceutical data environments.

  • DevOps Experience

    • Background in DevOps for data , including deployment strategies and pipeline automation.

  • Version Control Tools

    • Experience using Git and Git-based CI / CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

  • API Integration

    • Knowledge of integrating third-party APIs and external data sources into pipelines.

  • Database Design Skills

    • Understanding of data modeling principles SQL performance tuning , and data normalization
