About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to spearhead the strategic vision, leadership, and management of its diverse library services. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing the lending library, cultural programs, children's programs, special collections, and the physical assets of the institution. This pivotal role involves the creation of innovative programming, ensuring effective operations, and leading fundraising efforts. The Executive Director will also be responsible for managing a large team of full-time and part-time staff and will serve as the public face of the library, engaging with the community and fostering partnerships that have a positive impact.

Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should be dynamic leaders with a passion for cultural and educational enrichment. The role requires a deep understanding of the transformative power of libraries and a commitment to serving the community's cultural, educational, and intellectual needs. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with public speaking, adept at sharing the library's mission, and experienced in developing synergistic partnerships. A background in the humanities, education, or a related field is essential, as is a proven track record in management, operations, and fundraising.
