Grocers post items nearing their best-before dates, like fresh produce, meat, and bakery goods, at discounted prices, helping them recover costs and attract new shoppers. Shoppers get great deals on quality groceries, making it easier to eat well affordably. By keeping good food out of landfills and on dinner tables, Flashfood helps both retailers and consumers save money while reducing food waste.

Role overview : We're seeking a Data Director / Head of Data to define and lead the data vision at Flashfood. This person will shape how data drives decision-making, product innovation, and business impact. You'll build and lead a small, high-leverage team spanning data engineering, analytics, and machine learning. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency with strategic leadershipbalancing hands-on guidance and executive communication.

Responsibilities :

• Define and communicate a clear data vision aligned with company strategy.
• Prioritize high-impact data products such as Pricing Intelligence and Partner Insights.
• Establish governance, quality standards, and a roadmap for key metrics and data products.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Finance leadership to ensure data supports strategic decisions.
