We're looking for a proactive, detail-driven Quality Assurance Manager who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. This is not a sit-behind-the-desk role-this is for someone who wants to be in the mix, personally ensuring that every part that leaves our building meets or exceeds expectations. You'll be directly responsible for all aspects of product quality, from in-process checks to final inspections, documentation, and customer interaction.
- Advanced hands-on experience with inspection tools : calipers, micrometers, gages, CMM, and others.
- Proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, and capable of keeping organized, detailed records.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Experience creating or overseeing FAIs, PPAPs, and similar documentation packages.
- Proven ability to communicate with customers and vendors in a professional, solution-focused manner.
- Strong leadership and time management skills-you lead by example and can prioritize workload effectively.
Minimum 5 years experience
Inspect in-process and final parts personally using a wide range of precision tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs) to ensure compliance with customer specs and engineering drawings.Oversee all outgoing shipments for final quality approval-nothing leaves without your OK.Direct, supervise, and schedule work for the lead inspector, and request support from shop management as needed to meet demand.Coordinate closely with production and shipping to support on-time delivery and eliminate delays caused by quality issues.Act as primary quality contact for customers, including handling audits and quality concerns.Maintain and issue all required documentation, including :RMA log and corrective action directives (internal and supplier)Non-conformance and calibration logsFAI and PPAP documentationManage supplier quality : issue and track corrective actions for non-conforming supplier work.
