Primat Curtis, located in Machesney Park, Illinois, invites applications for a Quality Manager with experience in heat treat and speciality coatings to lead quality operations across its three manufacturing facilities.
The Quality Manager will direct quality systems across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, customer standards, and Tier 1 automotive expectations. This role will oversee and develop the quality team, drive continuous improvement, and partner with production, engineering, and supply chain to uphold and enhance manufacturing standards. The manager will also support supplier audits and customer visits, requiring occasional travel.
Candidates should bring proven leadership in manufacturing quality assurance, a strong Tier 1 automotive background, expertise in compliance and improvement strategies, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities :
- Manage and improve quality control systems to ensure compliance with operating standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.
- Serve as primary customer contact for quality concerns, audits, and satisfaction initiatives.
- Oversee and maintain quality documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and records.
- Apply Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, and CAPA methodologies to improve processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.
- Analyze production data, perform statistical reviews, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead, train, and develop quality staff while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve quality issues through clear standards and effective corrective actions.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or equivalent standards.Proficiency with QMS platforms and statistical analysis tools.Experience with quality tools such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis.Must possess a strategic approach to problem resolution.Comfortable working in a plant environment.Benefits :
