Contract Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in San Jose, California. This role involves managing key financial processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate will excel in delivering accurate financial reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities :

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring all financial data is properly recorded.

Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.

Generate and review journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Assist in preparing financial reports and statements as required by management.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial workflows and resolve discrepancies.

Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Support audits by providing requested documentation and clarifications.

Maintain organized and accurate financial records for reference and reporting purposes.

Requirements :

Proven experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

Strong understanding of journal entry preparation and financial reconciliation processes.

Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.

Knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.

Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
