Accounts payable / Accounts receivable Specialist

Our client, a local mid-sized company, has an immediate need for an Accounts Payable / Accounts receivable specialist. The accounts payable / accounts receivable specialist will report directly to the assistant Controller and will be responsible for completing A / P and A / R functions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Duties include :

• Processing of accounts payable invoices.
• Sorting and matching invoices to purchase orders.
• Confirm proper accounts payable coding.
• Preparing and scheduling of approved payments.
• Processing weekly check runs.
• Research and resolve invoicing errors.
• Daily reconciliation of A / P accounts.
• Managing of vendor relationships, updating and maintaining vendor files.
• Process A / R payments.
• Review and post customer payments to the proper accounts.
• Review and reconcile customer accounts.
• Other duties as assigned.

Candidates for the Accounts Payable / accounts receivable specialist should have 3+ years of full cycle A / P and A / R experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability work with minimal supervision.
