About the Role

Law360 is seeking a senior reporter to cover the business of law, specifically large law firms with national and international reach. This reporter will write regular news analyses and features on the business of law, contextualizing developments among law firms and other entities in the market. This reporter will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the beat and a reliable roster of sources.

This role can be performed in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City or Washington, D.C.

Requirements

  • Possess at least two years of full-time, paid reporting experience
  • Demonstrated reporting and writing skills
  • Experience working a beat

Preferences

  • Experience covering the legal industry, including law firms, legal associations and regulators, alternative legal service providers, in-house legal departments, legal technology, litigation funding and judicial issues
  • Experience reporting for a legal audience
  • Ability and openness to regularly meet with legal industry sources in the local community
