Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
Reports To : Plumbing Supervisor / Foreman
Job Overview : The WSSC Licensed Plumbing Foreman oversees and coordinates the day-to-day activities of plumbing crews on commercial and / or residential job sites. This role ensures all plumbing installations comply with WSSC (Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission) regulations, local building codes, and company safety and quality standards. The Foreman serves as the on-site leader responsible for scheduling, material management, and maintaining productivity and workmanship excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise, train, and direct plumbing crews in installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
- Ensure all work complies with WSSC codes, permits, and inspection requirements.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Schedule and coordinate daily work assignments, tools, and materials.
- Communicate effectively with Project Managers, General Contractors, and inspectors regarding job progress and code compliance.
- Conduct quality checks to confirm systems are properly installed, tested, and approved.
- Maintain accurate job records, including time, materials, and inspection documentation.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed and report any incidents or hazards immediately.
- Assist with hands-on plumbing work as needed to maintain project timelines.
- Mentor apprentices and junior plumbers, promoting skill development and code knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills :
Active WSSC Plumbing License (Master or Journeyman) required.Minimum5 years of plumbing experience, with at least2 years in a leadership or foreman role.Comprehensive knowledge ofWSSC codes, plumbing systems, and inspection procedures.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.Working Conditions :
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as required.Work in various environmental conditions (indoor / outdoor, hot / cold, confined spaces).Standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods.Use of PPE and adherence to safety regulations.Compensation :
