Long Term Care
You would be responsible for providing skilled phlebotomy in the Springfield, MA area nursing homes. Collects and processes blood and other specimens according to established policies and procedures for clinical laboratory testing to ensure accurate lab results that will assist the physician in diagnosis and treatment.
In doing so, obtains needed supplies, verifies patient identification, prepares skin site, and performs venipuncture and skin puncture according to established aseptic techniques.
Labels specimens and transports them to the laboratory for analysis. Your work is vital to the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients. Must have dependable transportation.
Organizes workload to ensure that specimens are collected for testing within established time frame protocols. Assists co-workers to complete assignments as needed.
