Job Title : Occupational Therapist

Job Type : Full-Time (Part-Time may be considered)

Location : Los Angeles, CA

Sign-On Bonus : $2,000 (based on current needs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care aimed at restoring and enhancing patients' independence following illness or injury. The role includes evaluating patients, developing individualized treatment plans, supervising assistants, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve excellent therapeutic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities :

Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop effective treatment plans.

Provide direct patient care following current clinical best practices.

Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.

Document evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Educate patients and staff on treatment plans and follow-through programs.

Assess and provide adaptive equipment to support independence in daily living activities.

Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute clinical expertise.

Maintain professional development and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR or RPT).

Current CPR certification.

Open to new graduates; experience in geriatric rehabilitation preferred.

Strong knowledge of OT evaluation, treatment modalities, assistive devices, and medical terminology.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to supervise assistants and aides effectively.

Additional Information :

Flexible shift based on patient needs; some weekend or variable scheduling may be required.

Inpatient setting, primarily serving adults aged 65+.

Standard patient-to-therapist ratios based on census.
