MIRK INC. is a family owned and operated business. We have been operating since 1972. We are looking for a Mechanic to maintain and repair aerial devices and other equipment (bucket trucks, diggers, and cranes) commonly used in the utility industries You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of equipment, engines and hydraulic systems. You must be able to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all safety precautions. Pay is determined by applicants qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Clean and apply lubricants to machinery component.
- Able to complete DOT annual inspections
Requirements
Very good communication skillsProblem-solving abilityHigh school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plusProven experience as MechanicMaintain a good attendance recordStrong hydraulic and electrical background is preferredWelding Experience is preferredCurrent CDL is preferred (not required)Routinely lift or carry 50lbsBenefits
