Position Summary :
The Medication Reconciliation Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist. Responsible for collecting accurate home medications lists for all inpatients.
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems
Fills medication carts on a daily basis
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
Repackages bulk medications
Collects accurate home medications lists for all inpatients
Deliver medication to the proper patient care areas in an accurate and timely manner and within established guidelines
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must be registered with the State Board of Pharmacy, upon hire or within 90 days of employment in position per state guidelines or be actively enrolled in a College of Pharmacy
National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred
Three years hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
