About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : Minimum of 1 year

License : Must have state license in hand

Certifications : ACLS, BLS required

Must-Have : Proficient in Epic

Description :

MUST HAVE NY LICENSE IN HAND - NO EXCEPTIONS.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must be more than a 75-mile radius from the facility.

Requires the ability to manage a patient ratio of 1 : 5 to 1 : 7 for Medical-Surgical patients.

Unit consists of 26 beds and primarily cares for patients with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), acute Myocardial Infarction (MI), post-device care (pacemakers), and patients with arrhythmias.

Candidate must be proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, and the use of Rapid Response / Code teams.

Experience in IV therapy and phlebotomy is required, including peripheral line care and management.

Respiratory care skills include administration of nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, and non-invasive airway management.

Candidates need to be knowledgeable about isolation precautions.

Floating is required in this position.
