Broad Statement of Responsibilities : The Primary Therapist at All Points North is responsible for delivering the highest standards of Trauma and Addiction treatment services within an inpatient residential treatment facility. This role involves providing individual and group counseling to patients and their families. As an integral member of the interdisciplinary team, the Primary Therapist develops individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient, focusing on targeted goals and executing therapeutic strategies. Carrying a dedicated caseload, the therapist works diligently to guide patients on their journey toward recovery and meaningful change.

Primary Therapists play a crucial role in the care delivery system by building therapeutic rapport with patients to assess, address, and treat Trauma, Addiction, and Mental Health Disorders. Additionally, they support patients in addressing family dynamics, self-esteem, life skills, and other personal challenges.

Education : This position requires LPC-A, LMFT-A, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC-in TX, a Graduate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited college or university.

Experience : This position requires 3 plus years’ experience in the residential treatment of individuals with Addiction and Mental Health Issues. Trauma therapy experience preferred but not required.

Special Skills & Knowledge : Must possess initiative and judgment capabilities to organize and plan activities, systematize procedures, promote favorable public relations, and make decisions affecting service delivery to consumers. Must be flexible to adjust to changing conditions and the various details of the job. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.

• Routine mobility includes standing, stooping, bending, lifting, walking, and running.
