Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, allowing you to respond promptly and professionally to any situations that arise. You will interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and teamwork. Pay Rate : $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 05 : 45 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Sat 05 : 45 AM - 06 : 00 PM

Sun 05 : 45 AM - 06 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing professional customer service to all individuals at the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter prohibited items and / or unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel when required.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter disruptive behavior and / or security-related threats.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An active armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
