Network Security Specialist | Cybersecurity & SCADA Network Protection

ProSidian seeks a Network Security Specialist | Cybersecurity & SCADA Network Protection for program support on a contract basis. This position is located in Pasco County, across the South East region, supporting Pasco County in enhancing performance, resilience, and sustainability of its water, wastewater, and reclaimed water systems.

This role requires candidates with experience in the Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure sector, with expertise in SCADA, Electrical, and Instrumentation / Controls. ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a full-time ProSidian employed position.

Responsibilities include securing PCU networks, monitoring for threats, implementing cybersecurity controls, maintaining compliance with county and federal standards, and performing vulnerability assessments and incident response planning.

Desired qualifications include a bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology, and certifications such as CISSP or CEH are preferred. Candidates should have 5+ years in network security roles, preferably within critical infrastructure or utilities. Required skills include firewall configuration, intrusion detection, network segmentation, SIEM tools, and SCADA cybersecurity protocols. Competencies required include risk awareness, technical expertise, incident response, and system hardening.

Additionally, the role involves developing cybersecurity training for technical staff and control system operators, coordinating audits, and preparing documentation for compliance with NIST and local guidelines. Supports cybersecurity within all SCADA, electrical, and data systems domains under Pasco County Utilities.
