Director Radiology
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced System Director of Radiology to lead, plan, and manage the operations of our Radiology Service Line across multiple campuses. This strategic leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services to patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics in compliance with regulatory standards and internal performance goals.
The System Director of Radiology will oversee departmental operations, performance improvement initiatives, budgeting, asset management, and staff competency and development. The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who fosters a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions :
- Lead the strategic planning, organization, and direction of system-wide Radiology operations in collaboration with executive leadership.
- Ensure regulatory compliance across all imaging departments and maintain operational excellence through regular departmental rounding.
- Develop, implement, and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial stewardship and efficient use of resources.
- Foster effective communication with medical staff, hospital leadership, and team members to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Supervise and mentor department managers and staff, delegating responsibilities effectively.
- Oversee and maintain equipment utilization and capital planning in alignment with clinical needs and fiscal goals.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures focused on patient safety and high-quality care.
- Serve on interdisciplinary committees, representing Radiology in strategic discussions and organizational initiatives.
- Lead and evaluate performance improvement and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) programs.
- Champion staff development and continuing education with an emphasis on quality and safety.
- Collaborate with Patient Relations to address patient concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field Required
Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or CRA certification) Preferred
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in radiology or healthcare management Required
Clinical experience in Radiology or Imaging Services Preferred
