About the Role

For over 30 years, ELLA Contracting has been delivering the water, stormwater, and sanitary sewer infrastructure that Texas communities depend on. We take on complex, heavy civil projects that demand precision, accuracy, and a get-it-done attitude.

We’re looking for an Estimator who thrives in this environment — someone with the technical expertise, attention to detail, and drive to help us pursue and win the right projects. This isn’t a back-office role — you’ll be a key part of how we grow, ensuring every bid reflects our values of integrity, excellence, and accountability .

What You’ll Do

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for underground utility and heavy civil projects.
• Analyze plans, specifications, and addenda to identify scope and risks.
• Perform quantity take-offs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes .
• Work with Project Managers and field leaders to ensure estimates align with real-world production.
• Prepare bid proposals for municipalities, utilities, and commercial clients.
• Support handoff to operations after project award.
• Maintain databases of historical costs, productivity, and lessons learned.
