Assignment Details

  • Coverage Type : Clinic + Call
  • Schedule :
  • Weekdays : 8a-5p onsite, 5p-8a pager call - Weekends : Sat 8a-Mon 8a call
  • Call Details : Beeper call; 15-min phone response, 30-min onsite
  • Call Ratio : 1 : 3
  • Call Back % : 20%
  • EMR : Athena & Cerner

    • Requirements

  • Board Certified
  • Active NC license
  • BLS
  • Clean record

    • Clinical Details

  • Scope : General GI, including emergency endoscopy and inpatient consultations
  • Procedures (preferred) :
  • Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, bleeder fulguration, injection of varices, PEG - ERCP (diagnostic & therapeutic) - Esophageal dilatation / manometry - Small bowel biopsy - Lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible / rigid), colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision - Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) - Liver biopsy - Sengstaken / Blakemore tube management
