What does a Automotive Service Manager do?

  • Accomplishes service human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training (Service Technicians and Service Advisors), assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Achieves service operational objectives by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; completing audits; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets department financial objectives.
  • Implements sales programs by identifying prospects; developing field sales action plans; tracking and monitoring results.
  • A minimum of 3 Years Service Management Experience
