Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician / Electrician to support electrical and communication systems within a municipal building. The technician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and structured cabling.

Responsibilities :

  • Install, terminate, and test Cat5 and Cat6 network cabling .
  • Pull, route, and secure low-voltage wiring through conduit, ceilings, and walls.
  • Install and service systems such as data, security, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on low-voltage components.
  • Ensure all work meets NEC and local electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other trades and facility staff to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications :

  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Must pass a drug test prior to employment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in low-voltage or electrical work preferred.
  • Proficient with Cat5 / Cat6 cabling, wire pulling, and terminations.
  • Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
  • Experience working in municipal or commercial facilities is a plus.
