We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for our next star – a passionate Continuous Improvement & Industrial Engineer III . This role is responsible for supporting and driving improvement through the application of lean principles to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Productivity. The Continuous Improvement and Industrial Engineer III will develop strong partnerships across the organization and promote a consistent, data-driven approach to improvement. Has responsibility to develop a Continuous Improvement culture in all employees across the Manufacturing Site contributing on hard savings projects doing lean and industrial engineering such as line balance analysis, cycle time improvements, ergonomics, standardization, problem solving and training. Provides Lean expertise and guidance through the development, documentation, implementation, and validation of focused and sustainable value stream transformation. Will facilitate building of synergies across a specific value stream to enable cross-functional collaboration and best practices sharing and implementation. Provide coaching and development opportunities to strengthen overall capabilities of a value stream. Engrain process excellence improvement energy and capabilities within the company.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Value Stream Alignment with Lean Vision and Strategy
- Work closely with the Lean Six Sigma Manager to introduce and sustain a Lean culture into a value stream.
- Work closely to industrial engineering, maintenance, supervisors, leads and operators to better understanding necessities, and opportunities to improve safety and efficiency.
- Provide coaching and support on value stream design sessions, project identification, and prioritization.
- Monitor, coach, and continuously improve Value Stream transformation initiatives to ensure continuous and aggressive throughput time reduction.
- Works with manager to create Cell Designs, Manage Material Flow, Design Plan for Every Part Systems (PFEP), Studying Labor Standards (time studies), set up / operation of Kanban, Supermarket Systems Pull Systems, Lean Manufacturing Systems, Ergonomics standards, Visual Management Systems and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) Cycles.
Building a Lean Production System and Lean Culture
Be a leader, mentor, and coach towards integration of Lean principles, values, philosophies, and tools for driving continuous improvement through Kaizen Events along a value stream.Develop a best practice sharing internal network supported using Kaizen.Ensures lean methods and tools are understood, accepted, and implemented in the site.Leads and facilitates continuous improvement activities.Foster respect for people and humility through mentoring and coaching through the site's Lean journey.Develop and mentor lean leaders to facilitate and lead Kaizen Events.Supports and helps lead, guide, energize, and execute lean manufacturing activities, including kaizen and 6S activities, to continuously improve operations. This includes developing standard work, work instructions, cell layout, material presentation, control plans, line balancing, time study, process flow, etc.System Measurement and Feedback
Ensure the Lean Index Assessment is being used to measure and enhance value stream transformation.Helps implement and standardize best practices across departments and within the company's departments.Encourage risk taking and experimentation using the scientific method.Assists manufacturing department leadership in organizing and implementing Lean Manufacturing programs, processes, and systems to eliminate waste within the value streams and improve overall product quality, manufacturing capability, and process control (Statistical Process Control).Analyzes workforce utilization, space requirement, workflow and designs layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.Implements Poka Yoke devices and Statistical Process Control techniques for root cause and defect analysis.Works to improve productivity, reduce scrap, and reduce material waste using lean manufacturing strategies.Recommends and implements upgrades to existing equipment, identifies tool designs, and processes to improve consistency, accuracy, and cycle times.Identifies and implements shop floor savings.Helps create an environment where all employees can participate in driving improvement, establishes a future state vision for the site and leads us in that journey.Coordinates and Documents Continuous Improvement training through Kaizen Events (VA, NVA,8 Wastes, VSM, 5S+Safety, Problem Solving, A3)Recommend and implements process improvements.Other duties as assignedWhat do we offer?

Education : Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Experience : 6–10 years of experience in a continuous improvement environment with a demonstrated record of leading manufacturing improvement projects.Technical Skills :Proficient in financial and cost-savings project analysis.Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Toyota Production System, 5S, Theory of Constraints, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, and Six Sigma.Demonstrated structured problem-solving experience.Leadership & Communication :Strong decision-making and leadership abilities with the capacity to lead and collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to prepare routine reports and present information effectively to various audiences.Capable of working independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.Computer Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project management software.Language : Bilingual (English and Spanish); able to read, write, and speak both languages fluently.Physical Requirements : Ability to perform tasks on the manufacturing floor as needed.Work Environment : Exposure to hot and humid conditions during summer months and cold conditions during winter months.To be successful in this role, we believe that you possess the following skills, competencies & characteristics

Standing & Walking
Roles may involve extended periods (up to 12 hours) of standing and walking, including moving at a brisk pace and occasional stair climbing.
Postural Requirements
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in low or awkward positions during production or maintenance tasks.
Operator-level roles may involve lifting up to 25 lb repeatedly throughout the shift.Technician-level roles may involve lifting up to 50 lb multiple times per day, including overhead lifts.Where possible, mechanical aids (e.g., hoists, forklifts) are used.Fine Motor Skills & Tool Use
