Base pay range : $80,000.00 / yr - $100,000.00 / yr

Primary responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Windows-based servers and desktops across multiple platforms.
- Manage and support Microsoft 365 tenant services (Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint).
- Support and administer Azure Government (Azure.gov) environment, including user access, service configurations, and compliance needs.
- Perform Active Directory administration : user / group management, group policies, and access controls.
- Support and troubleshoot authentication mechanisms (MFA, SSO, conditional access, certificates, AD Federation).
- Configure and maintain LAN / WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
- Monitor and troubleshoot network connectivity and performance.
- Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V for server infrastructure.
- Apply system patches, updates, and vulnerability remediation in a timely manner.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, event logs, and alerts with monitoring tools.
- Support compliance with IT security frameworks (NIST, CMMC, FedRAMP).
- Assist with access reviews, security audits, and endpoint protection management.
- Manage and monitor backup and restore processes for servers and applications.
- Contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.
- Use PowerShell or scripting tools to automate routine tasks and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, knowledge base articles, and procedures.
- Respond to and resolve help desk tickets, providing timely resolution and clear communication with end users.
- Provide technical support for end-user hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Train and assist users during onboarding and rollout of new technologies.
Knowledge, skills and abilities
Familiarity with ITAR / UNNPI requirementsExperience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)Familiarity with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Manage Engine, Tripwire, Datadog, etc.)Background in backup and disaster recovery planningScripting or automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)Knowledge of IT compliance standards (NIST, CMMC, FedRAMP)Certifications such as MCSA / MCSE, CompTIA Server+, Azure Administrator, VMware VCPPrior help desk or customer-facing IT support experienceRequirements
US Citizen requiredAssociate's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field; 5-7 years of related experience ORBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field; 3-5 years of related experience3–5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT roleHands-on experience with Windows Server, Windows OS, and Active Directory administrationProficiency with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)Working knowledge of Azure / Azure Government environmentsFamiliarity with network services (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, LAN / WAN)Experience supporting authentication technologies (MFA, SSO, certificates)Strong understanding of patch management, updates, and vulnerability remediationExcellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to explain technical issues in user-friendly languageStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tickets and prioritiesBenefits
