Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel Pharmacist for a travel job in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Facility : Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital Oklahoma City South – 36-bed inpatient rehab hospital

Location : 7900 Mid America Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK

Start Date : ASAP

Contract : 13 weeks | 40 hrs / week guaranteed

Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM | On-call after hours for emergencies

Position Information

  • Role : Pharmacist-in-Charge (Pharmacy Supervisor)
  • Department : Pharmacy
  • Weekend / Call : On-call with possible return to pharmacy for emergencies
  • Float : Not required

    • Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily pharmacy operations
  • Ensure compliance with JC, CIHQ, CMS, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy standards
  • Implement new services, procedures, and automation
  • Lead Performance Improvement Programs
  • Manage staff : hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations, coaching
  • Supervise purchasing & inventory management
  • Verify / dispense medications ; approve technician work
  • Monitor all six critical processes of medication management
  • Provide clinical services : anticoagulant monitoring, therapy optimization, drug utilization protocols
  • Educate providers and staff on medication use
  • Participate in medication reconciliation and document interventions
  • Collaborate with medical staff and administration

    • Requirements

  • Education : BS Pharmacy or PharmD
  • Licensure : Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in Oklahoma; Pharmacist-in-Charge credentials as required
  • Experience :

    • 1+ year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (full-time; part-time considered with additional experience)

  • Familiar with at least one EMR and pharmacy information system (preferred multiple systems)
  • Required : hospital automated dispensing experience (preferred Pyxis ES)
  • Preferred : regulatory compliance, audits, policies, staff oversight

    • Skills & Fit

  • Must have : Strong communication (verbal & written in English), computer literacy, team-player mentality
  • Preferred : Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience across dispensing, clinical, and administrative functions
  • Personality Fit : Cooperative, collaborative, detail-oriented
