American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hybrid Emergency and Urgent Care position requiring a WA or compact license and advanced certifications.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a hybrid freestanding Emergency Room and Urgent Care setting with 8 beds including 1 trauma / resuscitation room and 6 hall chairsPrimarily provides care for both urgent care (60%) and emergency (40%) patient populationsPatient census is estimated at 90-100 patients per dayTypical patient ratios are 3 : 1 for ER patients; varied ratios for urgent care patientsUnit features a fast track and designated triage area where travelers are expected to participateEpic EMR system is used in the unitEvening shifts from 3 : 00 p.m. to 3 : 30 a.m. with every other weekend requiredNo call or floating requirementsHoliday coverage is on a rotating basisFacility provides 24 / 7 in-house securityProvide nursing care for a diverse patient population in a new freestanding hybrid ER / Urgent Care facilityMust draw labs as there is no dedicated phlebotomy staffUnit is supported by a mix of RN, LPN, charge nurse, and mid-level providersOrientation is provided with 12 hours of initial trainingPatients requiring higher levels of care are transferred to the main hospital as soon as possibleAny color scrubs are permittedNo prior full-time, part-time, or PRN employment within the past year at any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum 2 years of recent emergency room nursing experience requiredCurrent BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications requiredExperience with typical emergency room nursing skills and patient care expectedEpic EMR experience preferredTwo professional references required : one supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 yearsCopy of driver’s license required for consideration\n Benefits\n
