This Engineer will be responsible for the design of tools for new and existing products. They will be a part of an engineering team that designs and builds the tools and equipment that produces Lifetimes various products. Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills. Another important attribute is having a good attitude regarding team work and working well with all team members.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge and / or experience with common manufacturing processes.
- Must have strong skills in engineering mechanics, strength of materials, and trouble shooting.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ability to set priorities based on current business needs and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to coordinate with local and remote team members.
- Self-starter with drive for results and attention to detail.
- Independently complete assignments within established time frames.
- Experience with CAD, preferably Creo (Pro E) or Solid Works.
- Proficient in computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word, Power point, and Excel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned) :
Design :
Design various types of equipment, could range from a simple to complex machines.Gages, weld fixtures, press dies, hydraulic punch or bending machines, etc.
Designs need to have the operator in mind especially concerning safety and ergonomics.Designs need to follow Industry and Lifetimes standards in regards to quality, MFG processes, and R&D's specifications.Designs need to be robust, reliable, and maintenance friendly.CAD & Project Management (Creo, Windchill) :
Create necessary CAD, drawings, and documents for designs.CAD needs to be organized, clear, and adhere to Lifetime's standards.Manage projects from concept to completion.Keep projects and tasks on time.Keep management and project members up to date on project status.Additional Responsibiltiies :
