Position : Banquet Server- Full Time
Reports To : Manager of Banquet Operations
Job Summary : Responsible for serving food & beverages in a professional manner at assigned banquet functions.
Salary : $12 an hour + tips
Duties
- Willingness to accept the most effective role.
- Review the Banquet Event Order’s for menu details, special instructions, floor plan etc.
- Prepare for the function(s) : plate setting, condiments, beverages, etc.
- Assist the set-up staff in table set-up, buffet set-up, bar set-up, etc.
- Prepare and serve beverages for the function.
- Check the quality of food before serving.
- Maintain an open communication with the kitchen staff, letting them know immediately of any changes or needs.
- Serve the guests in a professional and efficient manner. Follow-up on any reasonable requests.
- Remove dirty dishes from the tables as guests finish their meal or course.
- Load all dirty dishes from the banquet function on a cart and breakdown the dish line.
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness.
- Clean up after the function; sweep, mop, clear dishes from table, put everything away.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.
