Senior Business Central Consultant

This position will report to the Team Lead. The Senior Business Central Consultant position exhibits a strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, technical operations, and business process expertise that he / she can apply to customers technical and business issues. This position supports the consulting department in conducting organizational studies and evaluations, designing ERP systems and procedures, configuring and customizing Business Central applications, conducting process improvement studies, and preparing operations and procedures manuals to assist management in operating more efficiently and effectively using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. This position will serve as the highest level of expertise for the Business Central Consulting team and will act as a mentor, advisor, and leader for other Business Central Consultants.

You will be required to perform the following functions for Business Central and related applications as a service extended to our customer base.

Support corporate Mission Statement and Core Values through actions.

Deploy and support Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Manage patches, service packs, and updates

Troubleshoot / Monitor / Optimize Performance

Research and establish documented best practices for ERP usage

Train end users and internal staff on Business Central functionality

Utilize In House Ticketing and Time Software

Follow up on activities and tasks

Coordinate with end users to resolve issues and complete projects with minimal downtime

Extend Business Central functionality

Configure, customize, and implement tested, documented, repeatable solutions for existing or new clients

Provide training for staff or client staff on new Business Central features and integrations

Provide Business Central application support / expertise

Establish ERP best practices for accounting, finance, supply chain, and operations

Research and validate compatibility with hardware, software, and third-party applications

Respond to any new ticket assigned within 2 hours of receiving such ticket on our service board.

Request assistance from additional resources when necessary, using the approved escalation process

Enter time properly and on time according to accepted policies

Continuously improve and broaden your knowledge and skillset to keep up with the latest Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central capabilities, technology, and industry trends

Document all notes on every ticket with precise detail, so anyone else reading the notes knows exactly what was done, what needs to be done, and what the next steps are

Communicate effectively and regularly with clients throughout consulting work

Send clients daily or weekly updates while working on tickets or projects

Ensure client satisfaction before closing any ticket or project

Work with Accounting to make sure any changes to Business Central do not affect billing

Skills Required

The successful candidate will need to possess or obtain the following skills to successfully complete the required tasks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Extremely well organized, able to manage multiple Business Central projects simultaneously

Superior documentation skills

Strong time-management capacity

Ability to work well independently and under pressure with little or no supervision

Ability to travel locally when needed

Own transportation

Strong foundation in ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

Minimum 7 or more years of consulting experience with ERP or business applications

Strong problem-solving skills a MUST

Earn and maintain at least two Microsoft certifications (Business Central Functional Consultant Associate or related certifications preferred)

Bachelors Degree preferred
