Are you interested in driving the Ciena Healthcare Company bus around town while taking residents to various appointments and outings in the community? Are you interested in interacting with hospitals and doctor’s offices? That’s exactly what you’ll be doing in this position creating a legacy by interacting with residents one-on-one outside of the facility and helping them feel comfortable in the transportation process. When needed, a nurse aide will accompany the driver on outings for emergencies.

The Floor Tech is responsible for the cleaning services that provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable and homelike environment for residents, staff and the public .

Uses floor buffer or extractor to clean hallway, dining room, and common area floors daily.

Uses floor stripper to remove wax as needed and cleans, re-applies wax according to cleaning schedule.

Respects resident's privacy and preferences about room arrangement, personal items.

Removes trash according to department procedures.

Takes appropriate actions to secure housekeeping supplies out of reach of residents at all times.

Disposes of trash and waste, including bio-hazardous waste and other materials that require special handling, only in accord with facility policies and procedures.

Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards

Uses personal protective equipment when at risk of exposure

Responsibilities for Transportation :

Follow a schedule on resident’s appointments and be timely in making them.

Hold oneself to a high standard when interacting with residents one-on-one

Safely take residents on and off the bus using proper seatbelt and safety equipment

Have confidence driving a company bus

Maintain patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, and be able to work harmoniously with other personnel

Education and / or Experience :

Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED),

Prefer one year experience as a Housekeeper
