Structural Engineer

Role Description : Huitt-Zollars has a great full-time opportunity for a Structural Engineer at our Houston office . This full-time structural position is within our public works group and also provides the opportunity to support other disciplines on an as needed basis. HZ's portfolio includes prestressed, post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced concrete structures as well as steel structures.

Registration(s) : PE License or SE

Education : Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and Master's Degree focused on Structural Engineering

Duties :

• Design engineering of vertical structures for commercial & institutional projects, transportation and transit systems, federal and public works projects
• Perform structural analysis and prepare design calculations
• Develop structural details and construction plans using Revit
• Provides input and technical guidance to BIM and CADD Designer / Drafters and other project staff
• Work closely with Engineers and other disciplines to assure coordinated design systems
• Review shop drawings, perform field observations, and facilitate the construction administration process
