The primary purpose of the Patient Care Partner (PCP) position is to provide patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. The PCP impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of related direct patient care experience.
Key Functions
Work Environment : Maintains environment in a clean, safe, and orderly manner. Maintains unit and institutional competencies and adheres to legal and regulatory requirements. Participates in unit projects focused on improving patient outcomes.
Systems : Demonstrates knowledge and utilization of computers, equipment, and software programs to enter patient data, access information, and communicate with the multidisciplinary team. Successfully complete required on-line training. Demonstrate accountability by reviewing electronic / written communication from the Division of Nursing and MDACC.
