The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a new, state-of-the-art observation unit, serving adults and a dolescents experiencing a psychiatric crisis. The CSU can serve up to 12 patients at a time, in an open, therapeutic milieu. The CSU fosters a collaborative, inter-professional environment that supports all aspects of nursing practice, allowing you to deliver high-quality care using the most advanced technologies paired with the latest advancements in nursing. Members of the interdisciplinary treatment team are prepared to manage patients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and in need of immediate, around-the-clock care and observation. The unit's open concept features a large central room with comfortable reclining chairs, rather than traditional hospital beds. Spaces for individual therapy are located immediately adjacent to the central living space. Percent of Time : 50 - 100%

Schedule example : 50%-100% positions available. 20-40 hours per week dependent upon percentage of position. Rotating D / E / N shifts and rotating days off. 8 and / or 12- hour shifts available. Weekend and holiday rotating assignments required. Orientation will be at 100% schedule / 40 hours per week. Orientation duration may vary.

Location : Regular salaried position located in Iowa City, Iowa

SEIU Pay P lan :

Salary : $60,000 minimum at 100% effort to commensurate

• This does not include differentials. Salary will vary based on years of experience and percent of effort.

Pay Differentials : Shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of up to $10,000 per year

Qualifications

Education Required :

OR; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing, Professional Masters of Nursing and Healthcare Practice (MNHP), MSN / Clinical Nurse Leader or a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN, MA) is required.
