Applications will be accepted for the position of Confidential Payroll Manager. The Payroll Manager develops and oversees all tasks required to successfully deliver Hillside School District's payroll process objectives, including benefits and compensation, cultivating relationships with employees, auditors, and state and federal agencies, and maintaining district records. Qualifications :

  • Two years of college or business school preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP
  • Knowledge of payroll operations
  • Familiarity with computer systems and payroll / personnel software

Responsibilities :

  • Maintains records for health and dental benefits and accounting for same
  • Maintains records for State Pension
  • Maintains records for COBRA
  • Processes billing for retiree benefits
  • Maintains salary guides and provides information for budgeting and negotiations
  • Prepares deposit amounts for bank, credit union, taxes, and tax shelters
  • Processes and transmits payroll reporting information via EFT
  • Prepares quarterly federal, state, and pension reports
  • Maintains agency accounts
  • Processes unemployment claims and retirement requests
  • Maintains Workers' Compensation files and prepares OSHA reports

    • Salary : 12-month; salary TBD
