Join a 13-week travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assignment in Sarasota, FL, with 8-hour day shifts in a skilled nursing facility (SNF). As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will support Occupational Therapists by assisting in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans, conducting therapeutic activities, and monitoring patient progress. You will instruct patients and their families on following treatment plans and using therapeutic equipment, help patients improve their cognitive, physical, and emotional well-being, and maintain accurate records of patient progress and treatments. Your typical day involves administering occupational therapy to patients as ordered by physicians, under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist and clinical management. You will encourage patients during their recovery, help them improve their quality of life, and teach skills to promote independence. Maintaining the treatment area and equipment, as well as updating patient records, are also part of your daily responsibilities[1]?[2]?[3].

Required qualifications include a valid Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to develop and implement personalized intervention plans.
