Surgery - Thoracic Physician

We are hiring a locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon to provide weekend call coverage (1 2 weekends / month, Friday Sunday) - this is strictly beeper call!

Position Details :

Schedule : 1 2 weekends / month (Friday Sunday)

Call Type : Beeper call only

Start Date : 60 days (privileging required)

Privileging : 60 days from submission of RFA / application

Location : Texas

Requirements :

Active Texas license (IMLC not accepted)

ATLS certification Required

Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)

Clean background No red flags (must pass privileging review)

Required Procedures :

General CV / CT surgery open (not endoscopic)

Coronary artery bypass surgery (on-pump and off-pump)

Aorto-femoral / iliac bypass procedures

Fem-pop bypass (preferred, not required)

Compensation and perks :

24hr flat rate : $2600 / W2 and $3000 / 1099

Certification reimbursement

License reimbursement

Travel and accommodation reimbursement

$3000 referral bonus
