Base pay range : $59.00 / hr - $65.00 / hr. The actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop creative tools, translating design concepts into functional code.
  • Create, prototype, optimize, and profile custom shaders, pushing the limits of visual effects.
  • Design and manage technical production pipelines, including developing tools and functional prototypes.
  • Effectively communicate strategic thinking and creative / technical decisions to diverse partners.
  • Actively give and receive feedback to ensure the development of high-quality products.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience shipping products with stringent runtime performance constraints.
  • Extensive experience in shader languages (GLSL, Metal), with a focus on creating shaders from scratch.
  • Experience in real-time content authoring (VFX / animation / lighting).
  • Proficiency in creative coding frameworks such as openFrameworks, Processing, Cinder, or Three.js.
  • Programming experience with JavaScript, Java, C++, or C#.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively on cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Solid understanding of computer graphics fundamentals.
  • A portfolio showcasing technical skills and exceptional craft.
  • Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience working on shaders for mobile creative tools.
  • Product design background for mobile / creative tools.
  • Experience with graphics engineering or advanced knowledge of computer graphics fundamentals.
  • Compensation and Benefits

    The target hiring compensation range for this role is $59.01 to $65.57 per hour. Compensation is based on factors including education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Our eligible talent receive benefits such as subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match.
