Job Title : Land Analyst

Location : Sarasota, FL

About the Opportunity :

A leading national homebuilder is seeking a detail-oriented Land Analyst to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting the land acquisition and development process through comprehensive market research, financial analysis, and reporting. The Land Analyst will work closely with the land acquisition and development teams to evaluate potential land opportunities, prepare pro formas, and assist in ensuring that all projects align with company goals.

Responsibilities :

  • Research and analyze land acquisition opportunities, including demographics, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
  • Prepare detailed financial pro formas, feasibility studies, and underwriting packages for land deals.
  • Assist in evaluating zoning, entitlement processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain databases of land transactions, lot deliveries, and market data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with land acquisition managers, development teams, and external consultants (brokers, engineers, attorneys) to ensure timely due diligence and project approvals.
  • Track land pipelines, contract deadlines, and key performance metrics.
  • Provide reports and presentations to leadership summarizing land opportunities, risks, and recommendations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in real estate, land acquisition, development, or financial analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
