Job Summary :

The System Admin supports the DAVE application , a proprietary platform used to collect, register, and issue vital records for the State of Maine. This role focuses on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , issue tracking, and application data maintenance. The position serves as a liaison between business users and the software vendor, ensuring that upgrades, patches, and releases meet operational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform User Acceptance Testing for new releases and system upgrades using predefined scripts.

Test application functionality, record results, and track defects in Jira .

Maintain documentation of all testing results and activities on SharePoint .

Identify, analyze, and document defects or system issues for vendor remediation.

Collaborate with the vendor and internal teams to ensure policy and regulatory compliance .

Participate in design reviews, assess the impact of enhancements, and provide actionable recommendations.

Conduct impact analysis on production fixes and software updates.

Support ongoing product improvements by recommending functional and technical enhancements .

Provide end-user support , addressing basic system or data-related inquiries.

Document functional issues and summarize testing findings for leadership review.

Assist in developing and maintaining internal knowledge base materials and system documentation.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders, maintaining accurate and timely project updates.

Ensure all work aligns with quality and compliance standards .

Top Skills :

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) experience

Ticketing system management (Jira preferred)

SharePoint documentation & collaboration

Ability to troubleshoot basic system issues

Strong communication and analytical skills

Required Experience :

Proven experience performing UAT or system testing in an enterprise or public-sector environment.

Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing documentation.

Experience with SharePoint , Jira , or similar collaboration platforms.

Strong organizational and project coordination abilities.
