Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist with ARRT certification and strong independent skills to work variable hospital settings on night shift.
Responsibilities
Work in a hospital setting, covering ER, OR, inpatient, and portables with both fixed and mobile radiography unitsPatient population includes a wide range of cases requiring diagnostic imagingNight shift schedule from 11pm to 7am with every other weekend requiredFloating to sister hospital may be requiredPerform diagnostic radiologic procedures, patient positioning, and safety practices using independent judgmentMay select and administer IV contrast under established protocolsResponsible for documentation, image quality, and PACS / RIS workflowMay assist with training new hires and studentsMust demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, and teamwork valuesExposure to radiation, high-voltage equipment, and contagious patients is possible; proper safety precautions requiredDress code and scrubs per hospital standardsNo blocked scheduling availableReport to lab for required drug screening within 24 hours of commitmentRequested time off must be declared prior to offer; additional requests must be discussed post-assignment startAllow at least 2 weeks for background and screening process; start dates may be adjusted as neededRequirements
Active MI Radiology Technologist license required for consideration; license required if applicableMinimum 2 years of experience as a radiologic technologist in hospital settingsARRT registration (or registry eligible with certification obtained within 6 months of hire)Current BLS (AHA) certification requiredHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to work independently in ER, OR, inpatients, and with portable equipmentMust complete online training modules and pass prior to startMust maintain required hours of continuing educationCOVID vaccine is mandatoryBenefits
