Internship Opportunity At GlobalFoundries

GlobalFoundries is a leading full-service semiconductor foundry providing a unique combination of design, development, and fabrication services to some of the world's most inspired technology companies. This role offers exposure to journal entries, financial statement preparation, audit support, and process improvement across various accounting functions.

Essential Responsibilities Include :

  • Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the accounting month-end close.
  • Assist in preparation of the company's financial statements.
  • Analyze potential accounting transactions and perform research as needed.
  • Review accounting processes within the company and assist with internal control documentation.
  • Assist in audits while building relationships with other departments.

Other Responsibilities :

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • Education Actively pursuing a Bachelor's in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related field or a proficiency in accounting.
  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience.
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.

    • The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
