Senior Accountant (Contract)

Vaco Los Angeles is working with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for overseeing and managing various accounting functions within an organization. This role involves tasks such as general ledger management, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The position is on-site in Louisville, Colorado and will be contract only. It can pay up to 45 / hr, depending on experience. NetSuite experience is required.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.?

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.?

Analyze financial data, providing explanations for variances to budget, forecast, and prior periods.?

Collaborate with various departments to resolve issues and support business objectives.

Provide backup support for indirect tax accounting and employee expense report processing.

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business, or equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience in general accounting, including general ledger.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Experience with NetSuite a must, manufacturing industry preferred.

Knowledge of US tax compliance and audit processes is preferred.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
