Job Details

We are seeking a Payment Poster to join our fast-paced healthcare team. This exciting role is integral to our financial operations, ensuring the accurate and timely posting of payments and adjustments to patient accounts.

Responsibilities :

1. Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts from both electronic and paper Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) within the established time frame

2. Review and process insurance explanation of benefits statements for accuracy

3. Balance daily batch totals to deposit totals and resolve any discrepancies

4. Identify and escalate issues to supervisor, including payer trends in payment delays or reductions

5. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to resolve patient account issues

Qualifications :

1. High school diploma or equivalent required

2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in payment posting

3. Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

4. Strong knowledge of medical billing and collection practices, as well as insurance and governmental regulations
