As a Staff Pharmacist, you will provide safe and effective medication management in a retail pharmacy setting. You’ll evaluate prescriptions, collaborate with healthcare providers, mentor pharmacy staff, and support patients in achieving optimal health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
Review and evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and safety.
Conduct Drug Utilization Reviews (DUR) and clinical edits to ensure optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate patient medication records and histories.
Supervise, train, and mentor pharmacy technicians and other staff.
Provide guidance to healthcare teams and answer drug-related questions from staff and patients.
Implement policies for safe procurement, storage, and distribution of medications.
Support cost-containment strategies and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications :
BS or PharmD degree in Pharmacy .
Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin.
Skills & Attributes :
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Detail-oriented, organized, and action-oriented.
Knowledgeable in proactive healthcare and nutraceuticals.
Proficient with pharmacy software (RX30 or Pioneer) and Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining high-quality care.
