Maintenance Scheduler
Incumbent plans and develops weekly work schedules, multi-workweek schedules, and long-term schedules for maintenance.
Essential Duties & Job Functions :
- Reviews work orders to ensure accurate scope and materials.
- Coordinates job details with shop supervisor or lead if necessary before scheduling the work.
- Coordinates closely with customers to obtain work authorization, schedule work, assign priorities, and coordinate access if required.
- Provides ongoing status reports to management on work-load, work completion times, and work order status.
- Promotes quality and customer service.
- Prepares man-hour and material bids / estimates for work outside contractual requirements.
- Receives trouble calls from customers.
- Records, tracks and expedites work to assure contractual requirements are met and to minimize equipment / vehicle downtime for customers.
- Prepares reports per contract requirements, facilitates requests, and ensures proper notification to customers.
- Monitors and updates work progress and status in several databases (scheduling, GSA credit card and payment system and fleet database).
- Assists in the training of new employees on transportation area functions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned. May perform work in other classifications when incidental work is necessary to the accomplishment of the work assignment. Significant work in another job classification may be required if accompanied by any wage adjustments applicable.

The proper use of tools and / or equipment needed to be successful in the performance of job duties of the Maintenance Scheduler position.
Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.Having the ability to work well under pressure.Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations) :
Mandatory :
High school education or equivalent.Five (5) years' experience scheduling for vehicle maintenance activities or the equivalent experience in one or more trades.Relevant administrative experience, education or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.Minimum one (1) year computer experience utilizing a Windows system.Valid state driver's license with acceptable driving record.Ability to successfully pass any background checks and / or drug testing required on the contract.U.S. Citizenship.Preferred :
Experience with transportation and preventive maintenance systems is highly desirable.Experience working with MAXIMO database or comparable computer systems highly desirable.Rate of Pay : $36.54 / hour (Union position)
